Obsession: A Taste for Fear (1988)
Obsession: A Taste for Fear, released in 1988 and was directed by Piccio Raffanini. This being Raffanini’s only Giallo.
Obsession (what I’ll be calling it from now) is a late 80s, fun and futuristic giallo that features Sexy Scenes, Good Kills and Stylish Aesthetics. Seriously, this movie is loads of fun and a Top 3 Giallo for me. The Plot is simple: Diane, who is a Bisexual photographer in…well Somewhere in Italy (it’s never made clear), Must play amateur detective when her models are killed one by one by a mysterious Red Headed Woman. The Police suspect Diane’s ex-husband, George, is the killer, but is he really the murderer? Could the killer be Diane’s Assistant Valerie? who has her eyes on Diane, or how about Paul the Technician, who has a slight obsession with Diane.
For my first blog, I’ll keep it short and simple. I can’t recommend this movie enough, it may not be A tier as movies such as Deep Red or Suspiria, but it’s a hella fun time.
